Latest Buzz...

"Banjos, cheerleaders and sideburns... Three Day Threshold could be the country rock soundtrack to a shotgun wedding, tractor pull, or dog fight. Fall off the wagon face first and get up swinging doe-si-doe with the nearest smiling sow. It's bluegrass on overdrive, it's an afterhours rockabilly prom, but most of all it's a show not to be missed." - The Weekly Dig

"Three Day Threshold just keeps getting better and better with each new release, and they also seem to be keeping it more real than any other country band in Boston. Despite how ironic that sounds, a great deal of great country acts have come from Boston over the years and now Three Day Threshold is at the top of that mighty heap. " - The Noise

"Boston's Three Day Threshold has a felicitously original sound. Combining the best of The Rolling Stones, The Pogues, Little Feat and Johnny Cash, Three Day Threshold gets juiced up... 3DT's songs are energetic, loud and crafted with terrific hooks" - The Boston Herald

"YeeHaw! This is f'ing ace! I want to hear more!" - Fracture Magazine, UK

"There's plenty of banjo and fiddle to be heard and numbers about trusty ole dogs and drinking and gambling and the stuff that's being drunk. But this isn't exactly a country album; this album rocks" - The Boston Tab

"Gente del calibro di Social Distortion e Quiet Riot. Genio e maturita: It's rock'n'roll country music and I like it!" - "Teen Angst" Magazine, ITALY

"A terrifically unhinged banjo driven unit that's fast becoming one of the brightest party lights on the block." - The Boston Phoenix

"A supercharged quartet that fuses country, punk, bluegrass and redneck rock but at times suffers the pitfalls of being gifted (good songs) but quirky (banjo)" - The Boston Globe

"Three Day Threshold manages to house a unique style, yet no two songs are the same. One of the most original albums I have ever heard, its now one my favorites." - Surreal Magazine; Climax, Georgia

"You guys are like the bluegrass/roots rock version of the Pogues. Made me want to get a pint of something. Totally fun stuff!!" - Shannon McClatchey, Senior National Editor, AOL Music - National Programming

"The 'Threshold have realized their strengths, namely their instrumental prowess and songwriting accoutrement. The 'Threshold are one of the most delightfully pummeling (and liberating) live bands you'll ever see" - Face Magazine; Portland, Maine

"These guys sound a hell of a lot like the bastard sons of the Beverly Hillbillies or their South Boston cousins at least… "Rock 'n' Roll Country Music" - manic banjos, trashy rock and roll and slightly demented bullhorn vocals. If Johnny Cash or Hank Williams were starting out today, this is what they would probably sound like and certainly not like that crud that calls itself country music these days." - Shite 'n' Onions Online Magazine

"The band called 3DT by their more rabid fans, plays rock with bluegrass accouterments like banjo and mandolin, a punk beat and an Irish bar anthem sound... Its country music for people who hate country music... Rock is the backbone of a 3DT show, but country is the soul." - The Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror

"Kier Byrnes is the de facto godfather of the scene" - The Weekly Dig, "Country Music as A Foundation"
