Lyrics:

WHISKEY RIVER

I'm going down to Whiskey River
I'm gonna drown, not coming up for air
I'm going down to Whiskey River
And my friend, yeah my friend, I will see you there.
Nowhere to run when the rain comes down,
Nowhere to hide when the floods come round.
The levee is old and the water is rising.
Rain on my face, starting to flood
The crops are all gone, now there's just mud
There are things to save, I know, but you can't take 'em with you.

The road's washed out, there's one way to leave
So hold me close 'til the waters recede
I swore that I'd be yours, come hell or high water
And please remember all the good things I've done
The life that I lived, the songs that I sung
The angel's share is calling me and I'm thirsty.
I'm going down to Whiskey River
I'm gonna drown, not coming up for air
I'm going down to Whiskey River
And all my friends, yeah all my friends, I will see you there.

MY FAVORITE TITTY BAR

I always know that you will be there for me
Doors wide open to take a dollar from me
Up, down, spin 'em around... My favorite titty bar

I'd call you home, but well, you've gotta close
Just one of me, yeah, and look at all of those
Up, down, swing 'em around... My favorite titty bar
Up, down, bounce 'em around... My favorite titty bar

Asia, Crystal, Houston and Chastity
Brandy, Angel, Amber, Destiny
Up, down, spin 'em around... My favorite titty bar
Up, down, bounce 'em around... My favorite titty bar
Shake it, Shake it, Shake it for me... My favorite Titty Bar

Clap your hands and now sing it with me
Clap your hands and now sing it with me
Up, down, bounce 'em around... My favorite titty bar
Up, down, slap 'em around... My favorite titty bar
Up, down, stick 'em in yer mouth... My favorite titty bar

BARROOM - Evan Gavry

Little Miss Mary sits and frets
chewin on yet another cigarette
Sayin "How do they always leave me such a wreck?
I'd be amazed to find out there's a decent man left!"

The bottle on the table's gettin shorter by the minute
The words are gettin slower from what it used to have in it
There's a stretch of awkaward silence as the last word lingers
As the last butt in the pack sputters out between her fingers

The barroom ain't no place to find your lover
Those neon lights you know that they can't last
If you're lookin' for love you better keep it under cover
Cuz down here we're just livin' by the glass

Well it's always sunshine and it's always roses
A glass of red wine, Black beans and okra
And sure she'll be glad for the good times you showed her
But she ain't gonna know 'Til you tell her it's over

The barroom ain't no place to find your lover
Those neon lights tell pretty lies at best
If you're wise it won't take long 'til you discover
Those pretty eyes you don't put to the test

The barroom ain't no place to find your lover
Those neon lights you know that they can't last
If you're lookin for love you better keep it under cover
Cuz down here we're just livin by the glass

LITTLE LUNA

Little Luna, Hey, Little Luna, Hey, Little Luna's back in town
Little Luna, Hey, Little Luna, Hey, Little Luna's back in town

She walks into the kitchen, white dog in her hand
She's hoping and a wishin', that a you will be her man

You don't see her rising, full moon is shining bright
She keeps the babies cryin' and she drives the wolfman wild

ACCIDENT AT THE GATOR FARM

Hey at the gator farm, Nights are hot and the days are long
Prayin' wouldn't do no harm, Just watch your step down at the gator farm

Old Jack Niven was 51, He made his living on the gator farm
Tanning hides out in the sun, a risky job but he got it done
His daughters name was Amanda Lee, known for bouts of promiscuity
She'd bring home boys from the academy; She'd giggle and smile as they stroked her knee

With all the profits from that gator hide, Her daddy bought himself a sweet new ride
With windows dark, a back seat so wide, Mandy and her boy had to give it a try
The car it started to shimmy and shake, as moans of passion they both did make
When someone's foot hit the parking brake & the car started rolling down into the lake

Early next morning, Old Jack sits. He has no idea what's about to hit
His car is gone, Did his daughter split? No, they're both at the bottom of the gator pit.

Hey at the gator farm, Nights are hot and the days are long
Got two legs, but just one arm, just watch yourself down at the gator farm.

LITTLE BIT LONESOME - Kasey Chambers

Well I'm a little bit lonesome, I'm a little bit blue
I can't stop crying Since I lost you
There's a pain in my heart, Like a lightning bolt
I'm a little bit lonesome, It's all your fault

Well every time I wake up
I got you rollin' in my head
You may be lookin' right at me
But you're seeing him instead
I've got a broken heart, it's filled with pain
Sharper than a steel blade knife
Well thanks to you these lonesome blues
Are the best thing in my life

Well the last time that I saw you
You were holding onto his hand
You waved across the street at me
So I turned away and ran
When I got home I took a honky-tonk song
I played it till my eyes went red
Well I filled a glass, I said "kiss my ass"
I'm gonna drink you outta my head

Faithful, Faithful

Come all ye faithful, faithful... Come ye faithful
Come all ye faithful, faithful... Come ye faithful
Come all ye faithful... Come ye faithful...All Praise the Lord

The Lord made whiskey, whiskey so I drank it
Now the Lord made whiskey, whiskey so we drank it
The Lord made whiskey and we drank it... All Praise the Lord

Then the Lord made women, women, so I kissed 'em
The Lord made women, women, so I kissed 'em
The Lord made women, and we kissed 'em... All Praise the Lord

Waking up I'm not alone, what did I do?
Waking up I'm not alone, what did I do?
Waking up I'm not alone, what did I do? And who's knocking at the door...

Oh Lord, it's her husband, husband, he's gonna kill me.
Oh Lord, it's her husband, husband, he's gonna kill me.
Oh Lord, it's her husband, he's gonna kill me... Aw, help me Lord!

Lord, get me out of this, I'll quit drinking
Lord, get me out of this, and I'll quit drinking
Lord, get me out of this, and I'll quit drinking... Aw, help me Lord!

Oh Lord, I found a backdoor! Yeah, I found my freedom!
Oh Lord, I found a backdoor! Yeah! I found my freedom!
Oh Lord, I found a backdoor! Oh! I see my freedom! All Praise the Lord

Oh Lord, all this running, running, has made me thirsty
Oh Lord, all this running, running, has made me thirsty
Oh Lord, all this running, has made me thirsty… I know you'll understand

'cause Lord made whiskey, whiskey so why not drink it?
Yeah, the Lord made whiskey, whiskey so why not drink it?
The Lord made whiskey so we drank it! All Praise the Lord

Oh, Come all ye faithful, faithful... Come ye faithful
Come all ye faithful, faithful... Come ye faithful
Come all ye faithful... Come all ye faithful... All Praise the Lord!

ATLAS BLUES

The weight of the world is getting harder
And I, I don't have no relief
Yeah, the weight of the world is getting harder
Time to look for answers, look for peace

COFFEE/WHISKEY

My baby likes her coffee in the morning. I'd prefer to stay in bed all day
The working day is long, And it just goes on and on
That's when I call my baby up and say
How 'bout I pick you up at seven, Take you out and treat you right
When the sun's sinkin' low, Oh I know where we should go
It's a honky-tonk feeling kinda night
I like sippin' whiskey in the evening, though I gotta get to work at 6am
But my favorite song comes on, Oh I'll take you by the arm
And we go out dancing once again

I like drinking whiskey at midnight. We ain't gonna stop til 2 AM
The morning comes too soon, the sun's filling up the room
And then it starts all over once again
See, my baby likes her coffee in the morning. I'd prefer to stay in bed all day
But our favorite song comes on, so I take her by the arm
And we go out dancing once again, singin'
I like drinking whiskey at midnight, We ain't gonna stop til 4 AM
The morning comes to soon, The suns filling up the room
And then it starts all over once again

LEAVING OF LIVERPOOL - Irish Traditional

Farewell to you my own true love, I am going far away
I am bound for California, But I know that I'll return some day
So fare thee well my own true love, when I return, united we will be
It's not the leaving of Liverpool that grieves me, My Darling, when I think of thee

I'm off to for California, By way of the stormy Cape Horn,
And I will write to thee a letter, love, When I am homeward bound.

I have sailed upon a Yankee clipper ship, Davy Crockett is her name,
Daniel Burgess is the captain of her, And they say that she's a floating hell.

Farewell to you Lower Frederick Street, Anson Terrace and Park Lane
If the a man be a sailor, he will get along; If not, I'll never see you again
I know I'll never see you again

JIM BEAM

Headed down to the fishing hole, singing la la la
My Jim Beam and my fishing pole, yeah, la la la
Felt a nibble, I felt a bite, This suckers big and man, it likes to fight.
Oh Beam, Jim Beam, Jim Beam... gets 'er done!

It was clear that I needed help, singing la la la
I call some friends up on my cell, yeah, la la la
We pulled and pulled 'til our arms got sore, it wasn't like fishing, man this was tug of war.
Jim Beam, Jim Beam, Jim Beam... gets 'er done!

Just when I thought I'd call it quits, singing la la la
Up pops a mermaid with shells on her tits, singing la la la
She blew me a kiss then gave me a wink, said "Here's your hook back, now buy me a drink!"
Jim Beam, Jim Beam, Jim Beam... gets 'er done! (Here we go!)
One kiss at the bar and she heard wedding bells, ah f', la la la
But I wanted to see what was there beneath them shells, oh la la la
She pointed at me and said I want to marry him
Now hang on Honey, let me take you back to my aquarium.
Jim Beam, Jim Beam, Jim Beam... gets 'er done!
